Leslie is an experienced trial lawyer. She joined RGM to fulfill her commitment to the pursuit of justice and her belief in the American jury system by trying complex commercial cases. Leslie is passionate about trial advocacy and excels in the courtroom.
Since joining RGM, Leslie has tried five multi-million dollar commercial cases representing both plaintiffs and defendants. In 2013 alone, Leslie helped RGM clients win seven, eight, and nine-figure verdicts. In a fraud trial with RGM partner Pete Marketos in February 2013, Leslie obtained a unanimous $136 million verdict for her client—one of the largest verdicts in the nation in 2013.
In November 2013, Leslie helped defend a start-up Internet marketing company against multiple claims, including trade-secret misappropriation and tortious interference claims. A unanimous jury found against the plaintiff, and in favor of RGM’s client, on each count as well as on the client’s sole counterclaim for antitrust violations. The jury awarded the client more than $10 million in damages.
In 2013, RGM Partner Joel Reese and Leslie also represented more than 30 limousine drivers who contracted with Uber and were the target of the City of Dallas’ investigation into Uber’s operations. After months of RGM’s relentless investigation into the City’s actions, the City of Dallas dropped all charges.
In June 2014, after a six week trial, Leslie, along Pete Marketos and Haynes and Boone, won a complete jury verdict for TGI Friday’s in multi-million dollar partnership dispute, and take-nothing verdict on the defendant CBIF’s $13 million counterclaims.
Prior to joining RGM, Leslie worked as a trial associate at a large, full-service law firm in Dallas. While working at her prior firm, she tried more than 23 jury and bench trials as a City of Arlington Prosecutor and as an Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County as part of the Lawyer on Loan programs. In her free time, Leslie sits on the Regional Advisory Council for Make-A-Wish of North Texas.
